Continuous Bladder Irrigation CBI ordering and Admin

Hi all-
Looked through past threads and could not find a query related to this particular bladder irrigation topic. Hoping someone may have come across an approach that works.

In brief, We are reviewing our institutional approach to ordering and administering continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), including saline and medicated irrigations (e.g., aminocaproic acid). I’m interested in how other institutions structure CBI orders to ensure clear, Joint Commission–compliant titration instructions (e.g., avoiding rate‑based language, handling urine color–based adjustments). Any examples, policies, or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul
