In August 2025, we will be undergoing an EPIC upgrade which will default the “search suggestions as your type” functionality (we currently do not have turned on).

EPIC has notified organizations that they can configure a “blocklist” to prevent certain medication strings that should not be included as possible suggestions for medication searches (i.e.: for LASA or HAMs, etc.)

Do any of your organization (on EPIC) have a ‘blocklist’ that you are willing to share?
