How other Epic hospitals are handling orders for oral and rectal contrast? Is it treated like a med and ordered, verified by Pharmacy, administered on MAR? Our current practice is that the order is generated by protocol (med not documented in Epic), DI tech mixes the contrast, labels it, and sends to the unit.

Can anyone share a policy with me that they use to define what goes into an order set? I am being asked to write a policy on how to review, approve, and what gets placed in an order set. Thank You.
