Attend one of ISMP’s educational sessions this October on Balancing Unpredictable Intravenous Medication Supply with the Demand for Safe Injection Practices. ISMP experts will identify key safety issues and present error prevention strategies to implement while shortages are ongoing at a program on October 5 during the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists seminar in San Diego. Programs will be held on October 7 at the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management Annual Conference in Nashville and on October 24 at the American Nurses Credentialing Center National Magnet Conference in Denver that also will focus on risks associated with IV medications and discuss ISMP’s Guidelines for Safe Practice of Adult IV Push Medications.
