Dorsogluteal vs Ventrogluteal Intramuscular Administration

Our health system recently decided to implement a practice change where dorsogluteal injections are no longer allowed. Since then, nursing has reached out on several occasions asking for clarification/confirmation on appropriate, med-specific alternate administration sites. The literature surrounding the risk of adverse events secondary to dorsogluteal administration appears mixed.

Have any sites also implemented such a practice change? If the administration site is not specified in the PI (i.e., directions only mention "intramuscular administration" as opposed to "deltoid," etc.), are you recommending use of ventrogluteal administration?
