Authorized Agent Controlled Analgesia

Hello colleagues,

Our organization is currently evaluating our pain management policies/practices, specific to PCA by Proxy, or Authorized Agent Controlled Analgesia (AACA). I would like to align our practices with the ASPMNs guidelines on AACA.

If you are willing to share your policies, guidelines, or caregiver education materials, I would love to learn more about how other pediatric hospitals are guiding clinicians on the use of AACA, or PCA by proxy.

Thanks,
Melissa Ruffini
