Inpatient Venofer vs Ferrlecit

Hi all,

Our organization currently has Ferrlecit on formulary for adult inpatients while Venofer is restricted for use in pregnant patients only. There have been many instances of Venofer orders requiring interchange to Ferrlecit with the ordering provider initially unaware of the formulary/Ferrlecit. I am wondering if anyone has examples of their formulary usage, epic order builds, or policies addressing the use of these medications in the inpatient setting?

Thank you!
