Heparin infusing greater than 24 hours

At our Mock TJC survey, the surveyor was comfortable with our peripheral tubing being changed every 96 hours but questioned the heparin bag hanging longer than 24 hours. Does anyone have a policy relating to this situation?

Thanks,
